side shows in that program, can not find anything like it in digikam. I want to be able to do side shows can anyone help. You have to install the kipi-plugins -> http://extragear.kde.org/apps/kipi/ I'm sure, your distribution has a package called *kipi* ... If you mean "slideshow" you have an option under Tools>Slideshow which will allow you to view the current selected photos in a slideshow format. It will view a particular tag, album, date, etc.
