shortcut to zoom pictures

Pierre Hanser
hello
is there a possibility to have <ctrl>= behave like <ctrl><shift>=
for those of us using a keyboard where '+' is done with <shift>= ?

qiv does this, and it's quite comfortable to have <ctrl>+ et <ctrl>-
behave symmetrically (2 fingers for both and not 2 fingers to zoom out
and 3 fingers to zoom in)

what do you think about this?

Within digiKam under KDE you can use Settings > Configure Shortcuts...
to assign any key combo you want to any shortcut.  Admittedly this
does not allow multiple shortcuts combos (both ctrl-+ and ctrl-=) and
I don't know if this option is offered under other desktop
environments, but I figured it might be useful if you aren't already
familiar with this.

Cheers,
-kyle

Usually, you can even define an alternative shortcut
