Hallo,
since updating to qt5 5.9.3-1 on archlinux albumview is no longer working. In treeview I can see the albums including number of files, but neither in tableview nor in thumbview are any pictures seen. No problem here, with Qt 5.9.3 compiled by myself under Mageia 6. Sound like a package problem under ArchLinux Gilles Caulier 2017-11-26 13:01 GMT+01:00 Jürgen Blumenschein <[hidden email]>: Hallo, |

Next week, I plan to build the Linux AppImage with the Qt 5.9.3 LTS instead the Qt 5.9.1 currently. The 5.3.2 was problematic to compile under Centos 6 with C++11 support and older GCC 4.9.8 used especially for 32 bits support (this is the last Gcc version available for CentOs 6 32 bits). Typically this problem is fixed with 5.9.3. I use this Qt version in CentOs 6 32 bits in my office for internal applications. Please be patient. To build whole digiKam AppImage from scratch, this take more and less 6 hours in a dedicated VM. I compiled DK Arch Aur git version from here https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/digikam-git/ I got DK 5.8 but same problem, thumbnails images are not displayed. > > 2017-11-26 18:56 GMT+01:00 maderios <[hidden email] > <mailto:[hidden email]>>: > > On 11/26/2017 01:01 PM, Jürgen Blumenschein wrote: > > In treeview I can see the albums including number of files, but > neither in > tableview nor in thumbview are any pictures seen. > > Similar problem for me. Suppose the problen is caused by qt not digikam.
I'll wait. Thank You Gilles for Your great work on digikam. Funny is, that in timeline-, search- or tag-view the thumbnails were displayed. Buggy is only the album view and i cannot create new albums within digikam. In all cases, the current 5.8.0 pre Linux bundles build today are all based on Qt 5.9.1. You can use it to replace temporally the official ArchLinux package. This week end, I see Maik committed a lots of fix about MySql support. See the current NEWS files for details : Gilles Caulier 2017-11-26 20:00 GMT+01:00 Jürgen Blumenschein <[hidden email]>: Suppose the problen is caused by qt not digikam. |

Gilles,
It would be good to create a new AppImage to really include the latest changes and correctly port the MySQL DB to V9. I would appreciate feedback if the conversion to and from SQLite works. The pre-release AppImage should not currently be used with MySQL, please wait
until Gilles creates a new one. Maik Am Montag, 27.
