Is the Digikam team going to release an official digiKam 0.9.0-beta2

...As this will trigger a new package from my distro (gentoo)...

ok, ok, I surrender, I'm lazy... because the other mean to get it will
be to create a package (ebuild) by myself...

yes, we currently working to build new tarballs..., but the tarballs available
on free.fr space are only to test compilations. Do not use it to build
official packages. You must wait official tarballs on SF.net.
