newbie question: icc profile for Olympus e500

Martin Fisher
Hello List

I am a newbie to Digikam and to digital photography. Forgive me please
if this question has been asked before but I could not see a way to
search the list archive.

I am using an Olympus e500 SLR and Digikam 0.9.3 on Ubuntu (no real
equivalent for Ubuntu). Does anybody know where I can obtain an icc
profile for my camera (as I would like to use colour management to
facilitate good processing of RAW images)?

With thanks for any help & best wishes,

Martin Fisher

Many thanks - there is a set of files oly1...oly8.icm and olysp.icm

Do you know how I can find out which will support the e500?

With thanks, Martin

I'm using a Nikon D300 and would like to use colourmanagement. Looking at this
location I see several nikon-profiles, but I cannot tell by their names wich
profile to use. Can someone give me a hint or show me where to get a profile
for my D300.

Caspar.

Hi,

I just get a RAW file from a D300 (thanks to the internet ;)) and
checked the profile used by the last bibblepro with the D300 RAW
(thanks to inotifywatch).

It's not present in the directory uploaded by Gilles (the D300 is newer
than bibblepro 4.9.5).
The right profile is http://casta.nerim.net/photos/nikon33.icm

Hope it helps :)

regards,
Guillaume

Well, thank you. I'll give it a try. It sure will come in handy in other cases
too.

Caspar.
