mouse "stuck" in image editor

Hi,

I'm running digkam 4.5 under KDE 4.14.3, 64bit. I am a bit upset,
because it is practically impossible to use the mouse in order to
select a portion of a picture.
When I go over the image, immdiately a selection frame is opened of an
appearently arbitrary size, that I can change in size by clicking and
holding the boxes along the lines, but as soon as I let them go, the
selection frame moves somewhere else, and the movement of the mouse
(without having clicked any button) changes the frame's dimension.
It's basically as if I would press a mouse button, but I don't. This
behaviour is only in the image editor.

Any ideas?

Martin

The Bug will be fixed in 4.7.0. As a workaround, create a selection from top
left to bottom right, and not vice versa.

Complete a selection by clicking, then go to selections and pick "no selection" and it will stop.

that doesn't work. As soon as I want to leave the area of the
selection, the mouse cursor is "catching" the top left corner and
drags it with it - without any button pressed. I basically can only
drag the top left corner of the selection around, nothing else -
whether I push a button or don't, doesn't matter. Closing the editor
and opening it again doesn't help.

as mentioned in my last post, I can't "complete" a selection. Clicking
on "no selection" removes the selection frame, but as soon as the
mouse cursor goes over the image, it again opens up an arbitrary
rectangle as selection, and the mouse cursor drags the top left corner
around.

I'm hit by the same issue.
