hollidays and 0.9.4 final release...

Gilles Caulier-4
Hi all,

I'm going to my parent's home today for hollidays near Mediterranean
sea. I'm come back at home in 2 weeks. During this time, i will work
with my laptop without an internet connection (excepted under Vista
with an RTC modem).

I will be able to respond to mail but not to commit on svn.

For the 0.9.4 final release, i cannot do it until last week of July,
not before. If somebody can do it before, feel free to release digiKam
0.9.4, following usual PACKAGING instructions.

Best

FWIW,

Debian is planning to freeze  applications for the next stable release 'lenny' at the end of July. However this may be slipping.

If 0.9.4 final can be released before the end of the month that would assist migration into lenny.

Have a good holiday.

Is there anything to do in terms of bugs before 0.9.4 release?
If not, I can do the release.

Gerhard

Excepted all Crash reports to review, in my minds, all others bug
reports will be fixed in 0.9.5 (which will be a pure bugfix release -
all new features will be done in KDE4)

Andy, Arnd, Marcel, any comments here ?

Yes, sure...
By the way I'm back from my little weekend trip so I can assist in packaging
things up.
Right now I found a LOT (:-)) of crashes for the 0.10 release... I will post
my issues in B.K.O.

Right now I'm adding version tags to some bugreports for better filtering...

Re: hollidays and 0.9.4 final release...

Bugzilla from andi.clemens@gmx.net
In reply to this post by Gilles Caulier-4
Hi,

I created a package for 0.9.4 release, but I will not be able to write a Blog
entry and release it officially today. So if somebody else wants to do these
tasks:

- release on digikam.org
- release on sf.net
- announce on the mailinglists as mentioned in PACKAGING
- tagging / branching of SVN

... please feel free to do it!

Gilles, anything missing?

I will also upload a new version of the 0.9.4-docs package...
Both packages can be found here:
http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/0.9.x-releases/

If you have the time, please try to compile digiKam from the tarball before
final release.

Thanks in advance!

Andi

One last note, than I'm off... family day....

I upload the digiKam doc tarball with another name
(digikam-docs-0.9.4-13072008) because I was not able to compile it (but maybe
I'm doing something wrong here). So the original from March 2008 will not be
overwritten.
