holidays time...

Gilles Caulier-4
Hi all,

It's holidays time for me. I will offline during 3 weeks until 20 august. After a fast and intensive job to port digiKAm to KDE4. I need to be disconnected of the world during this period : no computer, no internet, no tv, no phone.

Only me, my familly, and my camera...

To photographers : digiKam splashscreen request is open : http://www.digikam.org/?q=node/249

... it's time to turn on your camera (:=)))...

Regards

Gilles Caulier

Have a nice holiday Gilles, hope your family as well :p

When you're back we'll start kipi-plugins porting, i swear (wow i said that :) )

In the meanwhile i should release libkdcraw, i couldn't last two weeks
unfortunately.

Talking about holidays, i will be from 4 to 24 August (at least, if i can i'll
be the week after also). You could hear from me, from time to time though... we'll see.

Cheers,
        Angelo

Nice I will do :)

Incidentally if you get 15 mins before you go could you give some
comments on this:

http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=Kipi+API+Rework

I'd like to (try) to make progress in your absence but seeing as you are
one of the main Gurus I wouldn't like to go off on a tangent that is
completely wrong :/

If not then I'm comfortable sliding into my usual laziness :)

Have a great holiday

Col

Colin,

Your paper is really appreciate. I have no time now to read it indeep (bags and car to prepare), but i will print this page and take a look during my travel (i'm going to Atlantic French coast, just behind "Bretagne").

Next week, i will certainly seen Gerhard at "Ile de Ré", and we will talking about your proposal. Gerhard can post my comments here. Fine for you ?

Have a great holiday

Thanks. I really need to purge my brain (:=))))

I wish you a very nice time!
I will try that digikam on KDE4 has less bugs when you return ;-)

Yesterday on IRC we missed by a few minutes unfortunately. But I think nothing
is really urgent to talk about.
I will go and read something about nepomuk/strigi apps, the latest mail from
Sebastian Trüg is a better proposal for a smooth transition (for all others
on the list: current suggestion is that digikam provides all data to nepomuk,
but that the internal db is not replaced, and we will toy with it, get
acquainted and see what it can do)
Anyway, top priority is the KDE4 port. Features can come after all is settled
down.

Marcel

Thanks Marcel...

Fine. 2 situations where digiKam crash :

1/ Remove "digikam3.db" file. Restart digiKam ==> crash...
2/ In image editor, use corner widget to pan picture. When button is released sometimes it crash.

Yesterday on IRC we missed by a few minutes unfortunately. But I think nothing
is really urgent to talk about.
