Bug ID: 376369 Summary: No Icon of Digikam in Gnome's panels Product: digikam Version: 5.4.0 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: [hidden email] Reporter: [hidden email] Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 103984 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=103984&action=edit Screenshot Gnome Top panel - missing Digikam icon When running Digikam in Gnome, there are some problems related to the icon of Digikam in the top panel and in the launch (left) panel. See attached screenshots: 1) in top panel, a default icon is shown instead of Digikam icon (see screenshot 1) 2) in left panel (the one shown in "Activities") (see screenshot 2): 2a) same problem (see screenshot 2, last icon) 2b) Note that if Digikam is set as favourite, its icon is correct (see last but one icon). But again, when Digikam is launched, a new icon appears (last icon) while it is expected that no new icon is added, but a little blue bar appears below Digikam's icon (like for the Calculator in the screenshot). Note: I thought it could be related to the integration of KDE (well Qt) apps in Gnome, but the problem is NOT present with Gwenview. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

--- Comment #3 from Nicofo <[hidden email]> --- Yes, the problem is reproducible with AppImage. (Actually I tried with "digikam-5.4.0-01-x86-64.appimage"; this bug is not new: present since several versions of Digikam). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

--- Comment #4 from [hidden email] --- No. Please try with 5.5.0 pre version. I add some rules to force desktop manager to handle application icon. Gilles Caulier -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

--- Comment #5 from Nicofo <[hidden email]> --- Created attachment 103987 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=103987&action=edit Strange map icon Ah yes, indeed, it works with 5.5. Thanks ! I see however a problem with the "Map" icon: see screenshot: it has changed, it is now a "Folder with a little map" icon, instead of an Globe icon. Is it normal ? (compare with 1st screenshot - https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=103984 ) It is really strange, especially also in the Thumbnail view: all the geolocalised photos have this little folder+map icon. As the icon is small, you only see the folder icon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

--- Comment #7 from Nicofo <[hidden email]> --- What do you mean with: > The Map Icon is the same here. It come from Breeze iconset, included in the > bundle ? If I use bundle 5.4 or 5.5, I don't have the same icon (only the one related to the map is changed). So something has changed between version 5.4 and 5.5. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

Not necessary, this is covered by
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374313 I didn't notice that breeze icons were updated, the patch there can be merged in that case. It will make sure the globe icon and not the folder icon appears. |
