How do you installed digiKam exactly ?
Do you compiled source code with translation files ? There is a cmake option
for that...

I installed Digikam from Philips ppa, did not compile anything.

I recompiled digiKam with French translations. Main menu and some entries in
menu still in English, other one are translated.

Sound like the French translations are not complete. That all.
