Hello
First, congratulations to developpers (and others) who contribute to this great soft. I used "similar" soft on windows before trying linux. I'm now addicted to this OS but still a newbie. 1- Actually I have installed digikam 0.7.3, digikamimageplugin 0.7.3 and libdigikam 0.7.3 from rpm. Everything is OK except the raw image conversion. I own a nikon D70 wich produces NEF files. With digikam I can't preview the files nor convert them. I have a message wich indicates a preview or process failure. I have installed DCRAW and the problem is the same despites it works right with the gimp plugin (better to my opinion with UFRAW). Is there an incompatibility between my digital camera and this option in Digikam ? 2- Recently I wanted to upgrage to Digikam 0.8. I found rpm digikamimageplugins 0.8.0-beta2, digikam 0.8.0-beta2, libdigikam 0.8.0-beta2 from rpm.pbone.net but it doesn't work. When I launch the soft, Digikam crashes immediately and I have no message in console mode. So where can I find a complete RPM version of digikam 0.8 ? I use MANDRIVA LE 2005 with KDE 3.3. (I tried to compile the file downloaded from digikam.org but I messed something) Thanks for your answers Yann _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Hi All,
I added the feature request attached below to the list just now. I hope some of you will vote for it! I'd also very much like to know if anyone else is extending DigiKam functionality using shell scripts, and what alternative solutions are in use. Regards, Dennis. ----------------------------------------------- I would like to have the context menu from the thumbnail view also made available in the image editor's main screen. I particularly need the "Open With..." submenu to trigger the many shell scripts I use to add much needed (to me) functionality to DigiKam. This functionality supports my RAW workflow, off-line storage, and several RAW conversion options without which DigiKam is not suitable for my needs. I'm not up to the task of writing kipi-plugins to do the job, but shellscript is another story. Alternative would be to make a tool-bar option available for this purpose, that would also be excellent! I hope someone can provide this because I'm not up to coding it myself :-( Regards, Dennis. ---------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
