jdd@dodin.org
Hello,

An other strange result in 6.3

when I delete a photo in the editor, I don't see it anymore in the
digikam view, but the file is still there... in dolphin (linux)

the image is also in the trash bin

I can not reproduce that. Please post the output from the console when the
image is deleted.

I looked again in the code. If the file is in the digiKam trash, it can not be
in the source album anymore. Unless you have bent the directories through
smbolic links, if album and trash are on different partitions.

What if the picture is in a read-only folder, and digikam thinks it has moved
it to the trash, but in reality nothing has happened? Could that be an
explanation?

No, then comes an error message and the image remains in the icon view and in
the album. I just think Dolphin has not updated the view. Dolphin is not
always in sync with the folder, I have also observed from time to time.

I will need a cli launch for that.

I can't reproduce it right now, but fact is the file was not deleted. it
was still in the folder when I relaunch digikam after reading your post.

I will test again if it reproduces
