Hi there I'm using digikam on macOS ... works well ..great stuff! The only thing that I'm very hard missing is an option to configure external tools like Gimp, PhotoShop, etc ...to open a selected image with one of this preconfigured apps Is there a solution? XnView MP (which also is available on different operating systems) comes with such one ... but digiKam is much more powerful. But in the end without such a solution it is very hard to using digiKam as the only one image managing programm. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot and Best Fischmuetze |
What do you mean exactly, to open a picture with another program?
I think you can already do that. If you right-click and image, go to "Open with" and chose the software from the list (or add a new one). -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |

Hello Fischermuetze,
see here in the release notes of DigiKam 6.1: The Windows version includes now the famous *“Open with”* option already present under Linux, to launch your prefered application with your items. Some prototype of code for MacOS will be also introduced and tested later in the next releases. https://www.digikam.org/news/2019-04-14-6.1.0_release_announcement/ On 15.05.2019 12:49, Aal Fischmuetze wrote: > Hi there > I'm using digikam on macOS ... works well ..great stuff! > The only thing that I'm very hard missing is an option to configure > external tools like Gimp, PhotoShop, etc ...to open a selected image > with one of this preconfigured apps > Is there a solution? This feature is not yet implemented for MacOS even if code to patch
digiKam exists and need to be tested. Best Gilles Caulier Le mer. 15 mai 2019 à 12:12, Aal Fischmuetze <[hidden email]> a écrit : > > Thanks a lot [hidden email] > > Am Mi., 15.
