Hi,
I'm using the appimage of digikam 6.1. My database is on a external mysql database. The photos are on an NAS. I can't use the FindDuplicates View. There is this error: Digikam::FindDuplicatesView::slotAlbumAdded: Duplicates view is not active, returning Who can help - please. Have you generated the fingerprints first?

The message is not an error message. Can appear when starting digiKam when
attempting to run a duplicates search album if the tab is not active. This prevents a possible performance problem when starting digiKam. Maik Am Dienstag, 7. Digikam is not usable anymore after this.
What can I do? To find similar entries it takes more than 5 minutes. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |

I tried and it seems to works fine - thank you.
Is it planned to add a "non duplicate" feature to prevent them out of the duplicates? -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |

Is it intended default behavior for Digikam 6.0 to delete original images after they are edited? It's doing that in my case and I cannot figure out anyway to stop it from doing that. The settings under "versioning" "keep a snapshot of an edited image" have no impact. If this is default behavior it's a horrible choice, and if it's not it's a horrible bug! No matter what I try in settings, as soon as I save an image as jpg, the original is deleted.
Thanks,

I think the setting I had to check was "always show original image" in the main view. It might make more sense for that to be the default.

A real improvement in the speed of duplicates search with MySQL, will be
included in the next AppImage. Maik Am Freitag, 17.
