I am having a horrible time getting the this forum to work. I can login to Nabbler and I belong to the digiKam mailing list, but they won't work together. I have tried THREE times to post a question in the Nabbler site without luck. When I do I get an email with the following:
I LOVE digiKam but getting help with it has been pure torture. It took me forever to figure out how and where to get help, and with this mailing list complication it's been hell. Why not just create an actual standalone forum that people can subscribe to? That's what every other program I use does. PS. I've been trying to donate because I actually like the program, but the Paypal site only takes euros and I can't figure that complication out either.

Also, I've now added a permalink so the URL is much shorter and easier to remember: On Tue, Sep 17, 2019 at 1:45 PM Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]> wrote:

To use the Nabble interface for digiKam, you also need to subscribe, using
the same email address, to the KDE mailing list for digiKam. Here is the message that Nabble gives: “ Mailing List Subscription Reminder This forum is an archive/gateway which will forward your post to the digikam-users@kde.org mailing list. The mailing list may require your subscription before accepting your post. Please note that being registered with Nabble does NOT automatically subscribe you to this mailing list. If you haven't subscribed yet, please do it now. If you aren't sure or don't remember, just subscribe again because there is no harm. ” ______________________ My experience is that you will have better luck subscribing to KDE for digiKam at: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users By subscribing, you will start to get list mail (email). But each email will have a link to unsubscribe. If you unsubscribe, you can still post. Once you get the registration squared away, you can post on the Nabble website using its interface. Nabble will send your post to the KDE mailing list. Nabble will offer to let you format your post using attributes such as Insert Image, Bold, and Link. But the KDE mailing list for digiKam is not designed for formatting, and the post will look bad. You should post in plain text. If you wish, you can then edit it on the Nabble website to add the formatting. Nabble will not repost it to KDE mailing list, but you will see the formatting on Nabble. -- Sent from: http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digikam-users-f1735189.html |

I joined the Pixlus forum like you suggested and I'm very happy with the help I'm getting there. I notice you are a major developer associated with digiKam. I just wonder if you or one of the other developers monitors the Pixlus forum. I haven't unsubscribed from the mailing list yet and I notice you are constantly involved with it. I wonder when I make a suggestion on Pixlus or bring up an issue, does anyone who could do anything see it? If I have suggestions would I be better off trying to make them someplace else? If you read the message at the bottom that originally got rejected on Nabble you will see I was looking for a key command to go directly between the Thumbnail view and the Album tree. I found out Pixlus I can do this with shift-tab but that takes two clicks and I think there should be a more direct way.
