[digiKam-users] Help digikam 6.4 on Manjaro is not starting

Hi,

After successful update of Manjaro yesterday and 2 times restart is my
digikam 6.4 not working at all:


[fam@fam-pc ~]$ digikam
Attribute Qt::AA_ShareOpenGLContexts must be set before QCoreApplication
is created.
digikam.widgets: Use installed icons
QCommandLineParser: already having an option named "h"
QCommandLineParser: already having an option named "help-all"
QCommandLineParser: already having an option named "v"

Any Help?

Don't see more in the console? Activate debug output:

 

export QT_LOGGING_RULES="digikam.*=true"

And start digiKam again and post the output.

I use the 6.4 appimage.

If you want help you have to provide actual information. Configs,
settings, which digikam...

Hi,

It's working here too. Updated Manjaro with latest 5.4 kernel and
digiKam from the Manjaro repositories.

DIgikam 6.4.0-5 from repository not working

instead

Appimage 6.4 works.

My config

$ inxi -Sxxxz
System:    Host: MnjA Kernel: 5.5.0-1-MANJARO x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc
v: 9.2.0 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.17.5 tk: Qt 5.14.0
           wm: kwin_x11 dm: SDDM Distro: Manjaro Linux

The current dk on arch is: digikam 6.4.0-6.

Either wait for the next update from Manjaro or keep on using the
appimage.

Personally, I prefer the appimage.

1. It's created by Gilles
2. It works in all environments
3. I disagree with the archlinux packagers, they made akonadi,
kalendar and kcontacts as requirements (which I don't use)
