[digiKam-users] Display intersection of multiple tags

Richard B. Emerson-2
I'd like to show only the intersection of tag "snake" and tag "Arizona".
Currently I get all snakes and all Arizona. I want only snakes in Arizona.

To add complexity, add a third tag "Tuscon". Now only the set of snakes
in Tuscon, Arizona.

How's this done?

Hi,

Try the Advanced Search tool where you can combine with bolean
operators a complex serie of condition to query the database. This
include all digiKAm properties as tags.

You will create a virtual search album including all your search rules.

That. Or you can also use the Filters panel on the right. Just select the
keywords you want to insersect, and change the operator to "AND" instead of
the default "OR". It's in a little button at the bottom of the tag list in
that panel.

I'd also expect the "Tucson" tag to be a child tag of the "Arizona" tag...
but that's just me.

Yeah, but having or not nested tags is ultimately a matter of personal
preference. Some people might prefer to just use a flat tag list in order to
improve compatibility with other picture managers.
