[digiKam-users] Crash on face recognition scan

Hello,

I have a repeating crash on scanning for faces (Ubuntu, version 5.6.0).

I understand there is no logfile. If i start digikam from gdb it gives
me a new user profile.

How can i debug?

Launch digikam in a console then copy past result

Also, try to use a newer version of digikam. In the official website you can
find them in appimage format.

Yeah I don't think it makes any sense to debug ver.5.6.0 while digikam is at 6.3.0 already...

I would try using the official appimage.

Hi,

Another important point here : with future 7.0.0, whole detection and recognition algorithm have been rewritten using Neural Network component from OpenCV.

Currently, 7.0.0 is not yet ready to test, but if future test need to be done, it's with this version. No need to waste time to investigate with older implementation, where we know instabilities.
