Hi,

are there any known problems with pipette-like functions in image editor? Does not work in functions like white balance any longer. I get no feedback in the image from the pipette.
But I'm using very fresh bin packages from
https://launchpad.net/~philip5/+archive/extra
Thats why I would like to here infos from other 1.5 packages before reporting a bug :-)

Bye

  Thorsten

I just tried it on Win32, compiled from svnHEAD yesterday. When I select
the pipette and click on the image, the only effect is to revert the
cursor from the pipette to the arrow.

I have so far been unable to get a successful build on windows.  Would
there be any chance you could send me your build (just the .exe), or
post it somewhere I could pick it up and give it a whirl?  I have the
kde on windows installation of digikam, but it's pretty old now.

Thanks!
Dave

Hi, I'm not a programmer. I installed KDE 4.4.4 (I was told that it
would automatically install digiKam). Is there an "easy" way to install
digiKam in the Windows KDE?

Hi,

I'm desperatly waiting for this too.
KDE Win seems unmaintained. I would be willing to help, but could not
even compile it on win here too.

Please, try my 7Zip self extractor including current digiKAm & co
implementation with current stable KDE 4.4.4 bin package for windows :

http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/misc.tarballs/digikam1.6.0-kde4.4.4-win7.exe

This build still experimental. Uncompress it where you want. I use
D:/kde4 on my Win7 computer.

digiKam executable is in D:/kde4/bin (as showfoto, dngconverter,
expoblending tool, etc...

Re: digiKam and Kipi-plugins 1.5.0 released...

JUANGAL@iies.es
Thanks a lot for your compilation.

I use win 32 XP SP3 and was "anchored" to release 1.1, last compilation by windows.kde.org

Your compilation works fine on win 32. I installed it on my work´s PC with good results, but at home it has a problem. May be something wrong in kde4\bin\knotify4.exe
Antivirus program, at my work´s PC, detected that file as suspicious and put it in quarantine, and digiKam works fine.
At home, with no same antivirus program, when loading a raw file in showfoto, this message appears: http://img.overpic.net/images/i/7/h/xi7h6n1gy2efo7vrgeq.jpg , and showfoto don´t allows operate properly  with the image.

Re: digiKam and Kipi-plugins 1.5.0 released...

Gilles Caulier-4
yes, i reported the problem to KDE windows team.

In fact, i can reproduce the problem to download KDE windows 4.4.4
packages (Mingw4 version) with KDE installer on a new computer secured
with Norton AV. I can see the same warning message.

I checked files with another AV as Avast, without any similar warning.

Other people have reported this error and checked with another AV
without any problem. Sound like only Norton report this error.

This want mean that my Win7 laptop (used to build the archive) do not
contain originally this suspected malware.

I'm also so surprised that GCC compiled file include malware.

The possible problem can be the computer used to generate KDE4 windows
packages...

Just to test : install kdebase4 package with windows installer from
KDE 4.4.4 release compiled with Mingw4 and look if knotify4.exe has
the same problem with Norton AV...

If it's reproducible, this confirm that official package includes
corrupted files. This problem must be reported to KDE-Windows team as
severe security issue for in-deep investigations...
