Hi,

I have now tested digiKam 4.4.0 (and 4.3.0) and I still have the
problems with resizing images. E.g. zoom is broken after resize and
before/after comparison of refocus on images set to 100%, after
resize, generates weird results. If I set the image to fit to window
it seems to work allright though. I'm used to do sharpening zoomed in
though.

This is on a new laptop running openSUSE Factory (13.2 RC). By this I
now have the same problem on three different machines.

This is allways reproducible.

I can see this in the output:
Object::connect: No such signal Digikam::ImageRegionWidget::signalResized()

Don't know if that is important though.


It's really sad that I can't use anything newer than 3.5.0 as I can
see there have been improvements in performance.

Hi,

 

I have never used that function to resize the images (in the Menu Extras, next to bottom)

But I tried it tonight and digikam crashes immediately.

 

To resize I use the batch konversion or the email - send option - so I don't need that.

I just compiled the new dk 4.4.0 and for me it performs very well. I
don't have problems with zooming during the refocus operation.

It looks like a problem with exiv2, possibly libkexiv2-11, since that package
won't update, even though it appears as an update in muon.

I run kubuntu 14.04, fully updated including kde-backports ppa.

Any ideas?

No, it's not Exiv2 shared lib, but libkexiv2 interface from kdegraphics/libs.

It's a binary compatibility issue in your computer. Updating this
library will solve the problem.

I think the problem comes from a bug in sqlite: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329697
I suppose on your system is sqlite 3.8.2 installed. You should update to 3.8.6. For me, this fixed the problem.

I see the same problem as Anders Stedtlund:
in the image editor, if I zoom in to more than screen filling, and then do
a preview for e.g. USM or resharpen, the area shown for the 'before' does
not correspond to the area shown for the 'after' version (typical scenario
for me: go to resharpen tool, zoom in to 100% and 'try'. Worked perfectly
in 3.5, never worked correctly in any of the 4.x versions).

This for both 'home-compiled' versions and versions downloaded from
OpenSuSe repositories (OS 13.1).

I notice that he also uses OpenSuse, and I have had problems before that
were due to packaging issues. So this is what Digikam Component information
