Dear all digiKam fans and users,
The digiKam development team is proud to release digiKam Software Collection 4.4.0. For more details, see announcement on digikam.org: http://www.digikam.org/node/719 Best Gilles Caulier _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Hi,
I have now tested digiKam 4.4.0 (and 4.3.0) and I still have the problems with resizing images. E.g. zoom is broken after resize and before/after comparison of refocus on images set to 100%, after resize, generates weird results. If I set the image to fit to window it seems to work allright though. I'm used to do sharpening zoomed in though. This is on a new laptop running openSUSE Factory (13.2 RC). By this I now have the same problem on three different machines. This is allways reproducible. I can see this in the output: Object::connect: No such signal Digikam::ImageRegionWidget::signalResized() Don't know if that is important though. It's really sad that I can't use anything newer than 3.5.0 as I can see there have been improvements in performance. /Anders 2014-10-09 14:40 GMT+02:00 Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]>: > Dear all digiKam fans and users, > > The digiKam development team is proud to release digiKam > Software Collection 4.4.0. Hi,
I have never used that function to resize the images (in the Menu Extras, next to bottom)
But I tried it tonight and digikam crashes immediately.
To resize I use the batch konversion or the email - send option - so I don't need that.
here the details of my crash at the Resize.Kubuntu 14.04, / best regards Christian

Hallo,
I just compiled the new dk 4.4.0 and for me it performs very well. I don't have problems with zooming during the refocus operation. Hi list,
I installed digikam 4.4 using phillips ppa, but now digikam can not run. anders@katja:~$ digikam Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceAdded(QDBusObjectPath) Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceRemoved(QDBusObjectPath) Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address. IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon digikam: symbol lookup error: digikam: undefined symbol: _ZNK11KExiv2Iface14AltLangStrEdit8textEditEv It looks like a problem with exiv2, possibly libkexiv2-11, since that package won't update, even though it appears as an update in muon. I run kubuntu 14.04, fully updated including kde-backports ppa. Any ideas? No, it's not Exiv2 shared lib, but libkexiv2 interface from kdegraphics/libs.
It's a binary compatibility issue in your computer. Updating this library will solve the problem. Just as I thought. Problem: There is no update. anders@katja:~$ LC_ALL=C sudo apt install libkexiv2-11 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done The following extra packages will be installed: libkexiv2-11 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. anders@katja:~$ Apt is not telling why nothing gets updated though. I'm not very familliar with it, so I don't know if there is a way to get more information. There appears to be no --verbose or similar. I think the problem comes from a bug in sqlite: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329697
I suppose on your system is sqlite 3.8.2 installed. You should update to 3.8.6. For me, this fixed the problem. Best regards, Jan On 10/10/2014 10:44 PM, CD.Graesser
