I'm still getting this error message for libkface:
"Cloning into extra/libkface... fatal: Unable to look up anongit.kde.org (port 9418) (Name or service not known) Could not clone git://anongit.kde.org/libkface onto extra/libkface - Failed to populate gits repositories, aborting." ... and am not able to go further in the compilation of Digikam. I'm wondering about the fact I seem to be the only one to have this problem ... Have I not missed something along the line? It sounds like some network or DNS server error, I tried to clone it right now and it seems to work fine. Thanks for your answer.
As far as I can see, the responses to all these commands seem to be OK, and ... the perl downloas-repos is working just now!!! Grrr!!
I might have answered too quickly: I encountered the same error a bit further along the line, for extra/libkexiv2 this time. Could it be the poor speed of my connection? When I'm listening to the radio online at the same time, the sound seems to disappear when tje connection to git is active ... Thanks, but I already did that a couple a times ... and it means I
have to reload everything from the beginning. At least, this morning I'm progressing ... not fast, but going further anyway. Now, the problem is on the kipi-plugins ... with a little bit of chance, I'll have everything loaded for the end of the day! Have You tried to switch to git:// protocol? http.// is giving 502 to me while git:// works fine (I seem to remember some talk that http:// is using much bigger amount of resources at server side than git:// . Maybe the web maintainers could update site to have git:// instead of http:// in uri's) Gert _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I will at least update my description of the process that way, and then hope it will find its way.
