Thanks for Windows 4.1!

Paul Verizzo
I look forward to using the Refocus!

Is there any help information on how to use this?  Perhaps the Gimp plug-in, if it is?

And noticing that it's 4.1 and not 4.0, are there other new tricks we should know about?

Thanks, Paul

Hello,

In the file revision-news is:

"AlbumGUI : Thumbnails from icon-view now support large resolution
monitor (WQHD or 4K). Thumbs size can be set until 512x512 px instead
256x256 px."

where to find the switch to the Thumbnails Size convert to 512x512?

Re: Thanks for Windows 4.1!

Image Quality Sorter use Pick Labels to identify quality of images.

You can use Advanced Search tool to show items tagged with Pick Labels.

Currently, a student work to a project to add a new view to access
quickly to all items where Labels are assigned :

I am seeing an error on Windows 7 64 bit, the problem is that the
installed program is looking for msvcp100d.dll which is the developers
version with debug symbols I think. The normal VS runtime package
installs msvcp100.dll which I have but the second digikam 4.1.0 for
Windows doesn't find, the first version worked correctly.

I fixed installer this morning, and tested it to a fresh Win7 computer.

Uninstall previous one, and download new version at same url :

Hello,

the installation of current digikam version (4.10.2 from 22.06.2014)
worked without a problem.
(windows 7 64bit)

in digikam I can create collections on Removable Media.
These collections are no longer visible after removing the medium in
digikam.
Is there a possibility to define this album so that the tags and
thumbnails are still visible, with instructions to the offline media.
so you could search for specific photos and then if required, load the
appropriate meidum.

Installing on windows 8.1 works fine. However I get quite regurlary the
message that kio_thumbmail has crashed.
First thought it had to do with me trying to sync with my owncloud
instance, but even without it it seems to crash from time to time.
DigiKam keeps on running though :)

Sjoerd

PS: Now that the final 4.1 is out, will there be a final for windows
coming too? Or is this equal to the final?

It's KDE core sub system. s under Windows, KDE is one year old, this
can explain that.

KDE windows team must release a new KDE for Windows...
