Release candidate.

Bugzilla from tomalbers@kde.nl
Bon soir,

At http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/0.8.0/digikam-0.8.1-rc1.tar.bz2 you can find
a release candidate for 0.8.1. Its primary goal is to make sure everything
compiles.

Let me know if it works, even --enable-final should work.

The final tarball will be made on monday and the release will be at the 18th.

Tom

Building this version works fine even with --enable-final (Mandriva 2006, KDE
3.5 gcc-4.0.1-5mdk)

Help for making Digikam splashscreens

Tung NGUYEN
In reply to this post by Bugzilla from tomalbers@kde.nl
I have a JPEG photo and the file digikam_splashscreen_model.xcf.

Can somebody tell me (or give me a link) how to make a PNG splashscreen with
the previous files ?

Thank you in advance.

build fine on Kubuntu/Dapper & Breezy.  Debs can be found at:

        http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~ach/tmp/

NOTE:
the pkgs have the digikam just well tested hotplug support
for usbdisk camera enabled. So more people can test it.

plug in your camera and check in the 'camera -> media browse'
submenu if you find your usbdisk camera there and start the
        download dialog.
Right now one has to unmount the device via pmount or
        konqueror media:/

Without feedback about the hotplug feature, it will have
        to wait until 0.8.2.

Hmm,

i've never created the one for digikamimageplugins. To be honest, i don't know how to do it. At this moment is everything translated into german, except showfoto. The only thing that is missing are the screenshots. Most of them still with english GUI, because i do'nt have the necessary photos to make the screenshots.

So ´you have to checkout from SVN, if you like to have a look at the geman handbooks or find the guy who makes the html versions of the handbook.

Sorry
Oliver

PS the KIPI plugins are available using http://docs.kde.org/development/de/extragear-libs/kipi-plugins/index.html

You know the language teams are expectected to make them? If you have
problems, let me know, I can make them for you (trunk or branch).

Re: Release candidate.

Oliver Dörr
Hi Tom,

it should be made from branch. To be honest i believe, thats the reason why they don't made them, is because they don't know the state about branch or trunk. the plugins were translated a few months ago, digikam it self was translated 1 week ago....

It would be fine if you could generate the HTML code from branch.
