Of course, just install your distro's binary which should be up to date with 0.9.4.
But if you want to compile 0.9.4 you might run into similar problems as with 0.10. Then it's worth to invest the energy into compiling 0.10-svn rather then 0.9.4.
My personal opinion of course.
