Works fine
for my Konica-Minolta A2.
Grayed out for either of two Canon scanners. Did my due diligence search on the intertubes, no results that match. 3.2 for Windows Thanks, Paul Verizzo _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Scanner Import is delegate to libksane. digiKam only call libksane
method to get list of supported scanner. That all. Report this problem to libkscane project in bugzilla. Might as
well be talking French to me, Giles! I'm not a native Linux
speaker.
But if I may take a stab at interpretation, libskane isn't TWAIN, but a Linux variant? Paul On 12/15/2013 1:58 AM, Gilles Caulier

I regrettably do not know the technical details, but lib = library, common code to be used between applications [in this case, applications that need to access scanners]; k = KDE project [was the one to implement it, also the source of the k in Digikam]; and sane = Scanner Access Now Easy, according to the XSane [GUI access] documentation.

Thanks for
that, Arlo! I got a good laugh.
I do remember when Windows adopted the DLL concept, Dynamic Link Library. Was blamed for unwanted pregnancies and the collapse of the Soviet Union. So, I had a clue here about K libraries. But, unfortunately for me, for me it is not either Easy or Now! Paul On 12/15/2013 5:30 PM, Arlo Barnes
