Hi,
I miss a function in digiKam : Local Contrast Enhancement. Does it exist or not ? (Maybe I don't look in the right place...) If not, is it planned for a future release ? Thanks, Laurent. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Local Contrast Enhancement basically is Unsharp Masking with the parameters radius 60, strength 0,2 and treshold 0 I do it this way in digikam before using refocus for detail sharpening. You can have a look in http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/contrast-enhancement.shtml for further details Best regards Markus _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

In fact I never used LighZone so I can't say I would like such contrast mask. Before I used DxO Optics Pro if you need a reference.Well i suspected that you talk about contrast mask as LightZone do... Gilles Actually there's two solutions for me I think : -using the unsharp mask filter in digiKam -using the other method in GIMP or Krita But I don't know which one is better. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

It is mereley a matter of mathematics, as it goes through an n-pixel radius around every pixel in the image.... _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
