KDE Code sprint Call for registration

Bugzilla from anaselli@linux.it
Hi,

* Aim *
- finish the digiKam KDE4 porting.
- improve the kipi-plugins KDE4 porting.
- create an general purpose export plugin that implements picasa,
  flickr, Gallery, etc.
- improve libkipi
- improve documentation(?)

* Where *
- Genoa, Via Giovanni Torti, 35 Italy

* When *
- 31/10-2/11 2008

* Who *
- Angelo  Naselli        Genoa, Italy kipi-plugins (print support for digikam(?))
- Valerio Fuoglio   Genoa, Italy kipi-plugins
- Gilles Caulier           Salon de provence, France digiKam - Kipi Plugins projects
- Marcel Wiesweg      ??, Germany(?) digikam Note: 31/10?
- Kåre Särs                 ??, Finland(?)
- Aurélien Gâteau      Paris, France kipi-plugins (gwenview(?))
- Vardhman Jain        Hyderabad or Bombay or Bangalore, India kipi-plugins (from 30/10?)
- Colin Guthrie           Edinburgh Scotland  kipi-plugins
- Andrea Diamantini Senigallia, Italy digikam, kipi-plugins(?)

No one else?

I need details where you come from if not written. We need to evaluate travel and accomodation
for the proposal that has to be approved by kde team.
If we need some new people i could involve Stefano (here in cc as usual) for documentation for
instance.

Angelo

Maybe we could add:
- review/freeze the API of libksane.

Essen, Germany. Possible airports are Düsseldorf, Köln/Bonn, or Weeze for
Ryanair.
(31/10: Possible problem with university course on Friday afternoon, with no
way of finding out more now. Probability of having this problem is 33% ;-) )

Gilles Caulier-4
Angello,

Can you create an event map in googlemaps and set the location of the association in Genoa ?

Please share it for everybody. We can place the location of other places for ex. where peoples come from and accomodations in the city.

Gilles

The ticket fare for me should be around 660 Euros as per Luthansa Airlines. No direct flight,

Flight to Frankfurt first ~ 540 Euros (return ticket)
 and then to

Italy/Genoa by train(return)  ~ 70 Euros
Italy/Genoa by Flight ~ 120 Euros

Thanks to all for that,

According to my current checks via skyscanner, the best combination of
travel time vs price is:

Edin Thu 30 Oct 12:10 -> CDG -> GOA 17:50

And back:
Genoa Mon 03 Oct 13:30 -> CDG -> EDI 21:30

This gives the three full days there.

The cost is £258.20 which ~= €325

I can do it marginally cheaper, but it's pretty awkward on the travel
front (e.g. requires being in London at 4am etc.)

This does mean that accommodation would be needed for 4 nights.

Let me know if I can do anything else.

Col

No needs for that, i believe KDE ev can see that ;)

I would probably be around 350€ as well. Unfortunately their are no cheap
flight connections (Ryanair etc.) from my area to Genoa. There are
connections to Nizza/Nice though, I'm wondering if that is an option.
I think I have to sort out my uni schedule first, then check again.
