My wife is using Digikam 4.1 on Windows 8.1 and it seems to be that when
she selects a photo with a single left click it displays the preview image which is not what she wants, she just wants to highlight the image in the thumbnail view so she can assign a label. Is there a setting I have missed somewhere in Digikam which is causing this? Windows 8 is set to double click to open files & folders. Problem must be solved with last windows version 4.5.0 packaged by 3rd
party maintainer. Note : this guy contact me few day ago to package last 4.8.0 for Windows. So wating a little bit before to update must be a good idea. Also windows version of digiKAm has only be tested under Windows 7, not Windows 8.x Best Gilles Caulier 2015-03-21 17:31 GMT+01:00 Stuart T Rogers <[hidden email]>: > My wife is using Digikam 4.1 on Windows 8.1 and it seems to be that when she > selects a photo with a single left click it displays the preview image which > is not what she wants, she just wants to highlight the image in the > thumbnail view so she can assign a label. Thanks Gilles....
It does work quite well under 8.1. I have had a few crashes but not too many, I suspect it might have a memory issue. I use digiKam 4.5 in both 32 and 64 bits versions of Windows 8.1 and never got a crash. It is great to know that 4.8 is coming to Windows. I tried to compile by myself but it seems I am not that smart :-(. This is due to huge dependency with KDE4 (compilation and run-time) For Qt5 port (next digiKam 5.x), KDE dependency will be drop to 60%, and more until finalisation. This will simplify compilation and runtime (for ex, we will drop KIOSLave and use multithreading instead) Gilles Caulier > > Em 21 de mar de 2015, pelo 2:45 PM, Stuart T Rogers > <[hidden email]> escrito: >> >> Thanks Gilles.... >> >> It does work quite well under 8.1.
