I use Ubuntu 7.04. I love digikam and I use
this program so much because is fantastic, but I've a problem when I
try to upload my album to flickr.com. When I try to authorize digikam
to use my account, digikam doesn't open the browser web because "it's
impossible to find the service kfmclient", so I can't autenticate
myself on flicr.com, I can't authorize digikam an flickr.com and so I
can't upload my photos!!! A similar error occours with kflickr, but
with f-spot everything seems ok and the program launches firefox so I
can authorize it. Can anyone help me? I think the problem is that
digikam and kflickr are for kde and I use gnome... I've to install the
package kde-desktop? Or there's a simpler solution?

Giacomo,
Sound like your Konqueror from KDE package have not been installed on your computer. This can be explained by the fact of Unbutu is a Gnome desktop by default... Gilles Caulier 2007/10/11, Giacomo Rossi <[hidden email]>:

You are running KDE application on GNOME desktop. Some plugin dependancies are not installed by default (kipi-plugins does not Depend on them), but are rather recommended. For this particular case, you would need to install "konquerer" package. You can run "apt-cache show kipi-plugins" for other recommended packages.
