How to remove digikam from ubuntu

[Rinus]

Does anybody know how to remove digikam from ubuntu. It is build from
git not installed with synaptic or another manager.
sudo apt-get remove digikam says ¨digikam is not installed¨

if you built and installed digikam by 'make && make install',
there might be an option 'make uninstall' that should remove the installed
digikam. It probably won't remove the data files created by digikam.

That´s obvious the one I needed. Alas it exits with errors. Any other ideas?

It is solved. I only needed to use sudo, now it´s gone.

A note for next time you build DigiKam, you might want to use checkinstall
instead of install as it creates a .deb package that can then be removed by
the usual apt-get remove.
