I've failed to find a workable answervia the documentation or Google. When I plug in my (Nikon) camera, it shows up on the desktop. I know I can set a default application through Nautalis via Edit/Preferences/Media/Photos/Open with other application. What I cannot do is find a successful command that actually works. Putting in "/usr/bin/digikam" causes no apparant result. I would ideally like it to open to the Camera download screen.
Has anyone solved this? -- Keith _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Hi Keith
I am an ordinary user of Digikam 1.02 and have a Nikon D3100 which is not recognized by Digikam. So i use the Mass Storage download option ( Nikon icon on desktop) and drag and drop the NEF images to a folder in my file system Ubuntu 10.04. Then open Digikam and browse to the folder via the Digikam folder tree. Cheers JohnB On 22/06/11 12:48, Keith Reed wrote: I've failed to find a workable answervia the documentation or Google. II also shoot a Nikon (a D90 with which sometimes I get some pretty
decent shots!) and operate an Ubuntu 11.04 box. Even when running in
DK2, the only way that I can download photos via the DigiKam
dialogue is by UNMOUNTING the camera first (this is in spite of the
fact that the camera is clearly recognized and registered by the
program before unmounting). Yes, this is an extra step but at least
this way I can still download my shots (and upload if I wanted to!)
within DigiKam.
