Just wondering how close is an official digikam 2.0 beta5 release? The release plan say 24/04/2011 for 2.0.0 beta5 so it's a bit overdue. I'm getting this and that patch request for beta4 on my PPA but are a bit reluctant to upload patched release as I hope it's easier for you guys to bug track unpatched releases and packages.
Otherwise just keep up the good work. :) /Philip _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Right. The date appear in the middle of holiday (France) and Nicolas
Lécureuil, the release builder French guy, must be outside home/work. So, it will a little bit delayed... I will try to contact him by mail... Nicolas,
Btw, if you upload digikam 2.0 beta5 to sourceforge.net and am the one who fix with sourceforge you might want to update it to point to 1.9.0 as the default latest stable release. Right now it point to the older 1.7.0 "Looking for the latest version? Download digikam-1.7.0.tar.bz2 (23.4 MB)", but both 1.8.0 and 1.9.0 exists as available files for download. /Philip On Sun, May 1, 2011 at 1:30 AM, Philip Johnsson <[hidden email]> wrote: Looking forward to it... :) _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

If not ready for tomorow, i will release without translations and work to have all this ready in time for Rc with translations. sorry for the delay. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Better to take an extra day to get out a good release than a hasty release that lack some features that could be in it that users would like.
For me it's no hurry either as there are ridiculous long cue times to build packages on Launchpad.net where I upload to build packages for Ubuntu. Looks like all projects are using their build servers to get out versions of different projects for Ubuntu 11.04 that was release last week. I have had cue times there for over a day the past few days to get some package built an available to the public.... /Philip On Mon, May 2, 2011 at 11:35 PM, <[hidden email]> wrote:
