Google maps instead of Marble Virtual Globe

RaveNBlack
Hi All,

if I switch from Marble Virtual Globe to Google Maps within DigiKam I get " Malformed URL ." Is just my installation of DigiKam broken or do I need some plugin to enable google maps?

Regards
Larry

I think ther V2 or V3 of googlemap API selectable somewhere in option
menu. Try V3

It should work right away. There has been one other person reporting
this issue, but we do not have any idea yet as to where it comes from.
Can you use maps.google.com in Konqueror?

Michael

Re: Google maps instead of Marble Virtual Globe

Hi Michael,

yes, I can open maps.google.com with no problem, however, if I open a
track I've recorded witjh MyTrack on my Android I only see start and end
points, but not the path in between.

With other browsers I see the path between starting and end points.

I'm running OpenSuse 11.4 64bit ann KDE 4.7.1 release 8 if it matters

Regards
Larry

Re: Google maps instead of Marble Virtual Globe

Hi Larry,

please have a look at this bugreport and check whether the fix indicated
there works for you as well:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=282070

If it works, maybe you can report the issue to OpenSuse, as then it
would appear to be a package dependency problem.
