Hello, I’m new to digiKam so there may be a workaround for this, but I couldn’t find anything similar in the KDE bug database. I have a picture that shows the following GPS metadata in the right sidebar: However, when I switch to Geolocation, the following information appears at the bottom of the sidebar: And the map displays in China (should be Texas; longitude should be negative). As a check, I dumped out the GPS metadata using ExifTool: ---- GPS ---- GPS Version ID : 2.3.0.0 GPS Latitude Ref : North GPS Latitude : 32 deg 28' 56.50" GPS Longitude Ref : West GPS Longitude : 96 deg 59' 40.02" GPS Altitude Ref : Above Sea Level GPS Altitude : 229 m GPS Map Datum : WGS-84 ---- XMP-exif ---- GPS Altitude : 229 m GPS Altitude Ref : Above Sea Level GPS Latitude : 32 deg 28' 56.50" N GPS Longitude : 96 deg 59' 40.02" W GPS Longitude Ref : W GPS Map Datum : WGS-84 GPS Version ID : 2.3.0.0 ---- Composite ---- GPS Altitude : 229 m Above Sea Level GPS Latitude : 32 deg 28' 56.50" N GPS Latitude Ref : North GPS Longitude : 96 deg 59' 40.02" W GPS Longitude Ref : West GPS Position : 32 deg 28' 56.50" N, 96 deg 59' 40.02" W This agrees with the digiKam GPS metadata, but I’m not sure which bits the Geolocation sidebar is referencing. I’m using digiKam 4.12 on Windows 10; I also tried digiKam 3.5 on Ubuntu 14.04 with similar results. Anyone have any insight
into this problem? _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
There is a problem, yes. Look altitude entry. It's must be 229m, no 0m. Please open a new file in bugzilla into digiKam/geolocation section, with this description of the problem plus a link to the file to reproduce the problem (this last point is very important) Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier 2016-03-03 4:52 GMT+01:00 Tom Cunningham <[hidden email]>:

So it looks like this bug has been fixed in version 5. Is there any timeline for when a version 5 Windows installer will be available? If not, is there any straightforward way of building digiKam under Cygwin?
