Hi all,
Trying Dolphin from KDE4 beta4, i have found a simple filter bar used to filter folder contents by name. It look like search bar from Firefox: http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/Screenshots/searchbarconcept.png The idea is to filter current album contents based on a string found in properties displayed on icon view as : - file name - comments - tags - date Or course filter must follow the current Album Icon Item settings from digiKam setup... Dolphin embed Filter widget to a dedic What do you think about this concept ? _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Dolphin embed Filter widget to a dedicaced tool bar. We can do the same in digiKam to host name + rating + mimetype filters, but my moc-up which use status bar sound like enough i think (and more simple to code) What do you think about this concept ? Great. I like quick filter ;) I don't like that in the mockup digikam and dolphin use different icons/location to clear the filter. IMHO it's important to use the same everywhere. Ah and this reminds me: first, prev, next, last in lower right is IMHO still the worst place for them. Achim > > Gilles > -- To me vi is Zen. To use vi is to practice zen. Every command is a koan. I like quick filter ;) Fully agree, very nice idea! Arnd P.S.: What about a quick filter in the menu-bar to filter out menu entries? ;-) _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

I think it's very useful for photographers who shoot a lot with RAW+JPG or people who mix RAW and processed formats. What do you think of it? Hi Gerhard,
I think that this is a great idea and nice, and the patch looks fine. Note that the patch has a couple of small glitches: there are several lines with - int ratingFilter; + int ratingFilter; I.e., where visually nothing changes (so it might be some line ending/TAB vs. spaces issue?) This is not really critical, but makes it harder to see the "real" differences. The patch works fine. As Gerhard pointed out to me on IRC that his kate (correctly ;-) removes all trailing spaces. kompare does a nice job showing this. So I suspect they were introduced (most likely) by me in a previous iteration for that patch - mea culpa ;-) Best, Arnd _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
