File extension "Bug"

Andreas Weigl
Hi

I just did a svn checkout of 0.10. So I have a quite current version

It's not realy a bug, but a inconsitency. I don't know if it is the same in
0.9x versions. I only have 0.10 right now.

When I do a batch raw conversion to JPEG, the file extension is .jpg.
If I edit a RAW image and do a "save as" JPEG, I get .jpeg as extension.

It's the same with TIFF.

It would be good if everything uses the same extension.

Cheers,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

I'm totally agree with your remark. We must use the same extension everywhere.

I vote to use 3 chars extension scheme (.jpg and .tif) instead 4 (.jpeg and .tiff). Like this, it's homogenous with others one as .png, .jp2, .dng, etc...
