Hi
I need help getting past a new problem. I'm getting QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'ConnectionTest' is still in use, all queries will cease to work. It does not matter if I reboot, re-install, or upgrade to 2.5, I still get this message when I try to start from a console, and nothing but the splash screen after a *very* long wait when starting it from the desktop. I strongly suspect a flag has been set in a database somewhere and not reset properly. If that is the case, where is it, and how can I reset it? I get that but the application does eventually start, after a *very* (or *very* *very* :-)) long wait. -- John Stumbles http://stumbles.org.uk :-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-: _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I see this also about every time I start Digikam from a console; it doesn't seem to have an influence on the running of the program (all functions seem to work as expected). Without having done any further digging, I suspect that there's a test database Remco _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

About 4minutes just now, with a ~300mb digikam4.db -- John Stumbles http://stumbles.org.uk :-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-: _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Ignore it. We're closing db connections, I dont know why Qt gives this error message, but I never saw adverse effects. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

My initial post did have a more appropriate subject, but got no response other than one person saying they have the same problem. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Perhaps the problem was that you used one email for two problems. So Marcel stopped reading after the word "forum" in your email subject "Forum registration and startup failure". The forum is interesting: There is no link on digikam main page. But you can find it via google. Maybe it's something new, beeing released the next days? Does anyone know more about it?
