In the Digikam themes that are dark, such as DLR and Dark, the text next to icons on the menu bar is black, which does not stand out well on the dark backgrounds. In the theme designer I don't see any text that is set to black. Are these text colors just coming from the default system font colors, and is there any way to change them when creating a theme?
This is a screenshot of the dark text for the DLR theme. http://vw.homelinux.net/z/picture.php?/1402/category/17 Thanks, Vern _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
Hello Vern,
I've been faced with the same problem. The cause seems to be a conflict between digiKam theme colours and those of your window manager. Yeah, it's frustrating. I prefer the dark digiKam themes too. However, I was able to address the problem somewhat it by fiddling with Qt4 Good luck. If you go into windows desktop appearance settings and click on advanced then find and change the text color even just a small amount, then save and exit, you then should be able to see the text in the tags when using the dark themes.
This also applies to ubuntu flavor. I only had to do this once for each install of Digikam running on windows xp and ubuntu Linux. I can't speak to other os distributions but since it seems to work across at least these two platforms I think it should work in a similar manner with others. Hope that helps.
