I just found out what made me think that digikam doesnt look as pretty as it could, and the sollution is simple.
Actualy for the different albums, the kde folder icon is used. But it would be much better if a icon would be used that looks like a fotoalbum.
I didnt check if there is one for crystal, but at least the oxygen people could do one?

It's maybe not what you exactly want, but...
Did you notice you can assign a picture thumbnail as the album icon ?
Just right click on a picture and "Set as album thumbnail"...

i know, thats why i added this here as a wishlist item. I was just thinking that the default look of digikam would be much better like that
