Hi all,

digiKam-0.9.0-beta3 and DigikamImagePlugins-0.9.0-beta3 packages have been
uploaded to http://digikam3rdparty.free.fr/0.9.0-beta3.

Please download them and test if they are able to be compiled and installed
properly.

Both of them have been tested without problems in Kubuntu-64bits (AMD AM2 64
Bits processor).

looks good for my system (OpenSUSE 10.0, widely modified). Both compiles
and installs fine, german GUI translation is included.

Hmmm, not sure what you mean. What i can confirm is that every message in the German trunk .po file is translated and that these messages give me a completely translated digiKam. I could also confirm that digikam.po file for German in tarball and svn are identical.

I've also tested the following:

rm /opt/kde3/share/locale/de/LC_MESSAGES/digikam*mo
find /opt/kde3 -name digikam.mo|grep "/de" returns no file (so there is no second copy)
starting digiKam gives me an English version
Compiling and installing the tarballs
and i got basically the German digiKam Gui back

BUT there is a problem with the tarball. Some plugins are no longer translated after this test. These are
Hot Pixel Correction
Refocus
The files are inside SVN, but not inside the tarball. Both files were not modified in the last two months. It looks like the tarball does not include all files.

If you like i could install a OpenSuSE 10.1 in VMWare without digiKam and test the tarballs there. But this will have to wait till tomorrow.

This is the same problem I had with the beta2 release. Some languages weren't
included in tarballs, althought they are in the repository and I updated my
local copy just before I begin to prepare the release. I sent a message to ML
but nobody answered it. I don't know what is the problem.

included in tarballs, althought they are in the repository and I updated my 
local copy just before I begin to prepare the release. I sent a message to ML 
but nobody answered it. I don't know what is the problem.
  

Are the files included in your local copy? If so, than the problem is inside the scripts that prepare the tarball. If not, than you have a problem with the svn up...

I have _not_ any po file in my local copy, really I think nobody have those
files in their locals copies of the repository because if I'm not wrong, the
languages files are recovered by the scripts that prepare the tarball.

From my point of view this would be a good idea. The bug in the scripts should be fixed for the release candidates.

@Gilles: What do you think? Are two untranslated plugins a showstopper for beta 3? (I think it's your decision)

@Paco: Could you look for the problem inside the scripts? If not, what is needed to create a package/tarball, so that somebody else could hunt the bug.

I'm not familiarized with Ruby, but I'm working on it and doing some changes,
when I've get some results, I'll send a post.

Error has been fixed. The right release_digikamimagepluing.rb file has been
commited to svn repository and a new tarball has been uploaded to
digikam3rdparty, please download and test.
