I've wondered that too, I was hoping it was going to be a case of you
identifying a face and then it would recognise faces that looked similar as
being the same person.

As for as you are referring to face "detection":
Note that is possible to choose to scan ALL folders, this problem is
only there if you want to scan one or more but not ALL albums.

Question to Gilles,
I wonder if you followed this Item. It is strictly spoken not a bug, but
it is more than a wish, I think we could speak of a shortcoming,
something between a bug and a wish. Do you want me to put it up and if
where should I put it up.

Rinus

This is about selecting the albums or tags to scan, if I understand correctly?

I see three cases:
1) You want to scan all folders => no click
2) You want to scan n folders, where n is small => n clicks
3) You want to scan n folder, where n is large. => n clicks

2+3 are the same of course, scaling with O(n) - but how do you want to solve
the problem of selecting say 1543 of your 3310 folder?

The only thing I could think of is to being able to check a complete
tree structure by one click.
