[Bug 290944] New: batch manager does not support correct placement of watermarks

Axel Krebs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=290944

Summary: batch manager does not support correct placement of
                    watermarks
           Product: digikam
           Version: 2.4.1
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Batch Queue Manager
        AssignedTo: [hidden email]
        ReportedBy: [hidden email]

Created an attachment (id=67571)
 --> (http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=67571)
wrong position, wrong orientation of watermark (annoying bug!!)

Version:           2.4.1 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS:                Linux

when working in thumbs view, I can select pics to further work on.

These opics can be landscape or normal (upright"?) orientation.

When preparing pics to send to other receivers, I do watermark these samples,
right bottom corner.

Please provide an easy _and_(!!) working procedure to conduct this job
properly. I do need what-you-see-is-what-you-get capabilities (WYSIWYG).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
this happens every time "it is not a bug, its is a feature"

Actual Results:
I want to watermark pic dsc_0451.jpg at the right bottom corner so I can read
it as _normal_ text.
In batch manager, I do select position "unten rechts" (which means "bottom
right") (please compare to attachment 2)

The result is unexspected top right corner!!

Expected Results:
WYSIWYG!

Nothing else. nobody takes care of exif info when working on pics. exif is
desciptive info, not working content.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.0-14-generic
Compiler: gcc
