After I have checked a tag in captions/tags pane and clicked apply, the arrow
keys have moved focus to left pane, and navigating to next or previous photo is
no longer possible.

By pressing the button, it gets keyboard focus. When the change is applied, the
button is disabled, and focus is redistributed in tab order. Some more buttons
are disabled, so focus remains on the "More" button in the lower right corner.
Pressing arrow key on a button triggers another focus redistribution in tab
order, now focus is at the left side bar.

Difficult to find a generic solution.
