Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |WONTFIX --- Comment #1 from Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]> --- I tested this feature from Gwenview, and I disklike to add in digiKam a dedicated thumbnail overlay icon to switch in full-screen mode. There is already a lots of Overlay in digiKam for more advance photo action. We don't need a fulls-creen action as overlay. Remember, to switch in fulls-creen mode, there is already a button in tool bar, a keyboard short cut, and an action in context menu. It's enough... Alexander Fieroch <[hidden email]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |UNCONFIRMED Version|2.0.0 |4.0.0 Resolution|WONTFIX |--- --- Comment #2 from Alexander Fieroch <[hidden email]> --- Unfortunately it is not the same. You can switch digiKam in full-screen mode using the tool button but this only hides the title bar. You can click on "Preview Image" the selected image in the thumbnail view but you still see the properties panel, the albums panel or the toolbar panel. I'd like to see a method switching from the digiKam thumbnail view with one selected image to a full screen mode with only showing this image in the best scaled resolution your monitor can display with a black background and having an auto-hide thumbnail bar to see the following next images. The only mode that is very near to my wish is the slideshow mode. But you do not want to start a slideshow anytime you just want to see some fotos in a higher resolution. Ok, you can select only one image and press ALT+F9 to start a slideshow with only one image - that's ok, but that's not, what a slideshow is intended for. Furthermore you cannot go to the next or preview image when starting a slideshow with only one image selected. You can select more images but then the slideshow is automatically started and before stopping it you cannot use it to quickly navigate in fullscreen through some images. In addition you cannot see a thumbnail for the next images in the slideshow mode and so you cannot skip some images quickly. The proposed thumbnail overlay could start a fullscreen display mode starting with that selected image and displaying an auto-hide mini-thumbnail bar. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #3 from Alexander Fieroch <[hidden email]> --- In addition unfortunately you cannot delete images in the slideshow mode if you use this for quickly displaying thumbnail images in fullscreen and sorting your collection. Is there any other shortcut for displaying your images in fullscreen out of the thumbnail gallery and let you working with the files (cut/copy/delete/rating/etc) so that a thumbnail overlay is not necessary? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #4 from Gilles Caulier <[hidden email]> --- Alexander, Yes, we don't need a new thumbnail overlay to switch in slideshow mode. And will not implemented this. Look in View/Slideshow menu. There are keyboard shortcuts (F9...). >"Furthermore you cannot go to the next or preview image when starting a slideshow with only one image selected". ==> This is completly wrong. Use page up/down to naviguate between images. With next 4.4.0 release, you can apply rating, tags, labels in Slideshow. It still miss a keyboard shortcut to be able to delete current image. Copy and cut operation are out of Slideshow scope... --- Comment #7 from Alexander Fieroch <[hidden email]> --- (In reply to Gilles Caulier from comment #4) > >"Furthermore you cannot go to the next or preview image when starting a slideshow with only one image selected". > > ==> This is completly wrong. Use page up/down to naviguate between images. Sorry, it's not wrong. Please select only one image and press ALT+F9 to start a slideshow with only one image - it's like viewing the image in fullscreen, but it is limited to only that image - you cannot navigate to other images if you need. You can start a normal slideshow (F9) on that image but after the delay it is automatically moving to the next images and you have to stop the slideshow directly after starting it to only see the one image in fullscreen. (In reply to Gilles Caulier from comment #5) > I ùove this file to Slideshow to improve it with these features : > > - Add Delete support. > - Add thumbbar support. Thank you very much! This is a big step forward. It's normal. - go to setup/slideshow and turn on option to start with current selected image. - F9 run slide with all items starting with selected one.
