[Bug 276418] New: Provide presets for the demosaicing tool's luminosity curve

S. Burmeister
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276418

Summary: Provide presets for the demosaicing tool's luminosity
                    curve
           Product: digikam
           Version: 2.0.0
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: RAW files management
        AssignedTo: [hidden email]
        ReportedBy: [hidden email]

Version:           2.0.0 (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS:                Linux

Especially for beginners it would be handy if digikam supplied some presets for
the demosaicing tool's luminosity curve.

The curve profiles should not only have the curve data but also a camera
manufacturer tag in order for digikam to be able to automatically pick the
correct preset depending on the camera the picture was taken with. For further
infos relating the idea behind that feature see bug 276417.

Maybe this report can act as collection for those presets.

My first try for a luminosity curve that fits Nikon cameras:

NOTE: This curve works with highlighting set to anything but "solid white".
To try it you have to quit digikam and edit your ~/.kde4/share/config/digikamrc
in the [RAW Import Settings] section.

Reproducible: Didn't try
