[Bug 274248] New: need shortcut for exif orientation

Tex
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=274248

Summary: need shortcut for exif orientation
           Product: digikam
           Version: 1.9.0
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: [hidden email]
        ReportedBy: [hidden email]

Version:           1.9.0 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS:                Linux

I would like shortcut keys to modify the exif orientation Tag.
I do not want to modify (rotate) the actual image, but I want to easily select
and rotate many files by exif orientation tag editing.
It seems that presently a shortcut does not exist and cannot be added.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to change EXIF orientation with a shortcut keystroke
Find that one doesn't exist and cannot be use defined.

Actual Results:
Can't be done

Expected Results:
Would be nice if it could be done.

--- Comment #1 from Tex <Tex2571 hotmail com>  2011-05-27 07:20:27 ---
Update:  Actually (maybe because of recent update or maybe because it just
wasn't that obvious) I now find it does exist in the configurable shortcuts
("rotated right" etc.. not explicitly clear that it's exif)

but..  the controls are absolute, not relative.  In other words there is
nothing to say, change it 90 degress left of whatever it's set at now.  Maybe a
setting to make the default rotations work by exif modification would be
equivilant.

OK, I'll just call it resolved and resubmit it more clearly.
