[Bug 262009] New: Allow setting GPS coordinates via embedded Marble component when the camera has not set them.

Bugzilla from kde-51@dotancohen.com
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262009

Summary: Allow setting GPS coordinates via embedded Marble
component when the camera has not set them.
           Product: digikam
           Version: 1.7.0
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Import
        AssignedTo: [hidden email]
        ReportedBy: [hidden email]

Version:           1.7.0 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS:                Linux

It seems natural that the user would use the embedded Marble component to set
the image's GPS coordinates if they are not set by the user. Let the user pan
and zoom to the location and set the coordinates.

Thanks!

Reproducible: Didn't try

Michael,

I think it's done with 2.0.0 release. Right ?

For GPSSync, we have now a Marble component. But I think this request is about
using the right sidebar for drag-and-drop geotagging, which is planned but not
yet done, bug #184833.
