Summary: WISH: Profiles for lens correction (maybe for more functions) Product: digikam Version: 1.4.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Workflow AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: 1.4.0 (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux When using the auto-lens correction, this tool doesn`t recognize the very lens always correctly. In one special case (panorama-like images), it does not recognize anything. IDEA: if there were profiles, one could use thes profiles to overcome this gap indirectly: the tooljust hats to know, which lens was mounted for a picture. Besides, if there are several digicams in use, each of these could get its own profile. Even in the case, that several photographers worked in one business, one could personalize everones need. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: in many case up the 40% wrong contribution of lenses to pics (and vice versa). Expected Results: Hope for better "fit" between auto-lens correction and the selected lens-profile. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #1 from Gilles Caulier <caulier gilles gmail com> 2010-11-09 22:06:58 --- With digiKam 1.5.0, lensfun is included in digiKam core. The last code from svn trunk of lensfun project... I recommend to test this version, where lens database have been improved... Anyway, for your request, it's a wish for lensfun project, not digiKam Gilles Caulier -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Martin Klapetek <[hidden email]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[hidden email] --- Comment #2 from Martin Klapetek <martin klapetek gmail com> 2010-11-09 23:05:30 --- Actually it is also for digiKam. From my understanding of this wish, you create a Camera profile, which will be globaly used in digiKam (although there is currently no other use than the lensfun) and that profile would set some kind of lens related settings automatically, for example the correct lens type. Then if you want to work with set of images taken by another lens, you simply switch the profile and all the settings are then adjusted. It is an interesting idea...

Axel Krebs <[hidden email]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[hidden email] --- Comment #5 from Axel Krebs <axel krebs t-online de> 2010-11-24 21:32:43 --- I guess you mean I want to produce superflous information? Please keep in mind my intention, described at the very beginning: DK does _not_ always recognize lenses and camera types correctly (compared to the enormous amount of existing type I would wander about, if)) Instead of of slowly searching the stored database, I suggested to use predefined individual sets of lenses/camera(s). In this case it should be easier for DK to guess, if it deals with profile I, profile II and so on. I believe, it is a matter of time, ressources and, even more important, reliablity. I hope I could explain my wish -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
