Summary: Digikam: marked images makes scrolling slow Product: digikam Version: 1.2.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: 1.2.0 (using KDE 4.2.2) OS: Linux When I have multiple images marked in an album, scrolling down/up becomes very slow. It seems that Digikam repaints all the marked thumbnails several times while scrolling (they blink), while the unmarked thumbnails are not redrawn (does not blink during scroll). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: * Open Digikam * Go to an album with several images (mine had a few hundred) * Scroll up and down * Take note of the responsiveness while scrolling. * Now, mark half of them by dragging a rectangle with the mouse * Use the scroll wheel to scroll down. * Note that the scrolling is much more unresponsive than without images marked. Actual Results: Scrolling becomes slow Expected Results: Scrolling with marked images should be just as fast as with no images marked. I use Kubuntu 10.04 with nouveau driver. Hardware is: Thinkpad T61p 2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo 4 GB RAM Linux malbec 2.6.32-22-generic #36-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 3 22:02:19 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

So it seems to depend on the size of the images marked. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Sound like a problem with your X server installation or something like that... What's your graphic card ? Which driver you use ?
