Version:           1.1.0 (using 4.4.00 (KDE 4.4.0), MS Visual Studio 2008 SP1)
Compiler:          cl.exe
OS:                Microsoft Windows (i686) release 5.1 (XP Professional)

While starting digikam on windows for the first time, I select a directory with
pictures (JPGs, NEFs). I get the directory structure, but I cannot see a
picture inside. I only get a message that kdeinit4 is crashing.
Viewing the pictures directly with showfoto is possible.

To be more specific: there is no information about the pictures shown in the
album view at all. No thumbnail, no file name, no size, ...
In Help-> Database Statistics, I can see, that the images are read (e.g. 463
JPG, ...)

This is likely to be related to or a duplicate of bug 224038. If you can see
pictures after random clicking on different albums then my guess is that you
have the same problems as reported in 224038.
